Snow Fairy

She dances on the wind
her spirit life
the Winter's eye:
the frozen snowflakes
on the air
spin and fly,
upon the waters
of the night
we see her glowing,
shaping art and time
the mystery of snow,
dream castle:
vessel of light and ice,
the fleeting memories
of love that cast us into dance,
the quickened pace
the patter of elfin feet
upon the snowy earth,
clues of harsher weather
distant from us,
until light and love and blessedness
surrounds us in this world of snow and ice.
